With you
by Ivy
If fireworks spark too bright
Look at the burning flickers of starlight
maroon magenta margarita flower beds
Commands the over grown weed
The dawn sits upon goosebumps
Of the morning mist
As the fingertips of a violinist
Sway the bow
Over the strings of notes..
the curved edge
Between your neck and the collarbone
Is my favorable canvas
For I’ve painted English roses
in maroon shades
Teal green lightning strikes
Underneath the caramel shades
Like roots spread across the evergreen
Hymns of a butterfly
Locked underneath your ribs
Sings to me as I fall asleep
Cosmos cradles our energies
Like a butterfly is carried out by the breeze
Turning seconds into hours
Hours into decades
Let us unite the seconds
Of our heartbeats
Until we run out of breath
As if we’re jumping off
The cliff
